I have a Creative Writing PhD from Royal Holloway, University of London, which was supervised by Dr Douglas Cowie. My practice-based PhD thesis is titled: ‘The Duties of Women (novel) and The Duties of the Writer: the Moral Complexities Associated with Representing German Women in Nazi Germany’.

 

I conduct practice-based research in Creative Writing, examining and articulating the roles and experiences of women in twentieth-century Germany with a focus on the years 1933-1989. Currently, I am interested in the possibilities and limitations of short form fiction in representing these feminist histories.
